A great education will broaden a child’s horizon far beyond the classroom walls. We offer our children as wide a range of opportunities as possible, sparking new interests, giving them a chance to pursue their passions, and helping them to build confidence and teamwork skills. From entrepreneurship to ski trips, our children can get involved in a whole world of stimulating experiences.

Clubs and activities

Our clubs give children the chance to try out all sorts of fascinating activities. They might be things we don’t have time to cover in the normal curriculum, or feeIt also offers our staff the chance to share their own enthusiasms.

Trips, adventures and expeditions

From school trips to museums, theatres and wild places, to camping in the school grounds, and residential activity weeks, visits to France and skiing trips.

Every year, Year-6 teams from each of the group’s eight schools take part in the Wishord Enterprise Award. Each team can apply for a start-up loan of up to £50 to develop an entrepreneurial idea and take it to market, with everything that that involves.

Its aim is to give students invaluable experience in setting up and running a business, and show them how the subjects they learn in the classroom all have a role to play in the world of business; the literacy involved in writing a business proposal and marketing material; numeracy that ensures that all the figures add up; and design, science and technology, which will all be vital in developing a product.
